There are various ways to meditate and a unique technique is explained below.
The first & foremost point is time and environment. It is good to meditate at the same place at a regular time so that it will become habitual. You must select an exclusive place for meditation. A calm atmosphere should be created for meditation no matter how long/short you are about to meditate.
Early morning is always the ideal time for meditation.
Lotus Position is meant for meditation. In this position your back will be always straight. If you find it difficult to sit in this Lotus Position for a longer time you can prefer sitting in Half Lotus Position in order to reduce your strain.
When you start meditating you will have a new and strange experience initially.
- Control your thoughts and focus on meditation though it would be bit hard to do so in the beginning.
- Don't have any doubt about yourself and be confident that you can meditate perfectly sooner. Optimism is utmost important for meditation.
- You will be diverted by your own thoughts and memories, but you need not mind about these petty issues, instead try your best to focus on meditation.
The best Meditation Technique:
Try this technique and test, as it will suit you in the long run perfectly. If you make it as a regular practice you can attain the desired results/benefits. No matter how short you meditate but you should meditate almost every morning regularly.
Sound or Mantra:
You can silently chant a sound or mantra repeatedly until the end. The sound or mantra will be your object/point of focus. Your will have a relaxed breathing when you concentrate on mediation. In due course you will become an expert in mediation so you need not worry about any teething problems, which you will surely face in the beginning. Here I would like to suggest you to use one of these sounds like LOVE, PEACE, BLISS, heaven, God etc. You can also use any other word, which you find suitable for yourself while doing meditation.
Final suggestions:
Always practice meditation with others. You can meditate even in your bedroom if the environment is clean, neat and calm. You can also meditate in the beach or on the shore of a river or in any lonely places. If you keep practicing as a small group you will attain good results sooner than you think.
